about Hey there! I am a wedding and portrait photographer located near Charlotte North Carolina and cover weddings and events throughout the southeast. I must say, destination weddings are on the top of my list as well... My work has been featured in many publications including Weddings Unveiled, The Knot, The Brides Book, Carolina Bride and many online blogs and websites. This is not a job or career for me, it's my passion. So for the good stuff. I think coffee should be a part of the food pyramid. I love rainy days and the smell of Bounce dryer sheets. I am completely random, and I will own that. I love dark humor and sarcasm, and laughter makes me...me. I love people who love... I dig all kinds of music, and last but not least, I love photography. I shoot film. I shoot digital. I shoot Nikon. I love my Holga. I hope you enjoy my loves. ~amanda

These three girls are a trip! First of all, Mackenzie is near and dear to my heart, and watching her grow up and go on to USC has been a little tough. Nothing makes you feel older than be able to remember when someone is 8 years old then the next thing they are moving onto College. I thought I was the one who was 18 :) Anyway, I have learned to love her so much along with her sweet sweet friends! Thank you girls! xoxo

This is the final in a series featured on my blog. I have really enjoyed working with these two, they are the kind of people that make your heart smile. Thanks guys! xox

Hello there!

I have so much to post, and I don’t know where to begin, I am going to just jump in, like I normally do.. :)

Hey, have a great weekend friends! And the posting will begin… NOW.

xoxo

Hey kids, I haven’t blogged in a while, mama has been super swamped! I have lots to share, and will get back to the blog hopefully this weekend after we finish editing 3 bridal portraits, 4 family sessions and design 2 albums…  xox

Be thinking about those holiday photos, we are getting ready to launch something fabulous with Jennifer Morrison Designs here in Statesville, NC. If you don’t know Jennifer, she is one of the most talented interior designers I have ever worked with. Please contact the studio for her information. amanda@acaldwellphoto.com

Hey kids! We have some exciting news!!

Jessica and Jonathan were married in Bald Head Island last year, and The Knot featured their wedding in the  Fall/Winter issue! We are pretty pumped about it, and what a fun wedding! We love working with fabulous vendors, and of course the wedding was hot, Ivy Robinson made sure of that! Joe Bunn’s crew provided the tunes and Beth with Studio Flora Diva designed amazing flower centerpieces and bouquets.

I am so happy to have been apart of their day, and to witness such loving families… my job is so rewarding. I will be posting their wedding very soon!!! xox

Hello! I hope everyone had a great holiday, I know it’s been crazy here trying to catch up! We did this session a couple weeks ago, and we had a great time playing in Winston-Salem! We hit up the downtown area, and arts district, then finished up at Tanglewood Park. They are cool peeps, and we dig the same tunes ;) Thanks guys for hanging out! xox

I took this photo in Costa Rica for Rob and Jennifer’s wedding back in 2007…(this was their rehearsal dinner, and probably one of my favorite photos) My husband and I went and had a mini vacation with our friends Ivy & Scott. Costa Rica had the best Mojito’s (You know we had to sample them everywhere we went ;)  plus it was the most beautiful country…I want to go back. xox
