Beginning in late 1999 and beginning of 2000 , Eric Hartness , Stephen Sharpe , Brian Gaither , Dale Beatty , and Tommy Beaver got together and started writing and recording songs for “Southern Fried” to start performing.The band played extensively for two years until the drummer Dale Beatty was called to serve the country.At this time the band went back to writing music for his return. Coming home was bittersweet after nearly losing his life when an Iraqi roadside landmine exploded , and nearly disintegrated the Humvee he was in. After a double amputation, several surgeries , and extensive rehabilitation, his triumphant return spawned new life for the band and gave new inspiration to all of his family.Since then SFMA has been playing every opportunity growing its fan base and writing new music constantly. They later added guitarist and former band mate Russell Dye to the sound and adopted the suffix “Musicians Association”, and have been busy playing Rock and Roll , Country Blues, Rockabilly and their own brand of “Hillbilly Voo~Doo Music” for audiences everywhere. How adorable is this couple? I fell in love with Jen the second we met! Then I met her sweet Drew. Her tall, tall sweet Drew. I can’t wait for their awesome wedding in a couple weeks! We did their engagement at her grandparents home, which might I add are also adorable. Then we rolled down to one of my most favorite stores in Cornelius. Bebe Gallinis. These beautiful girls have been one of my faves since the beginning! I did their senior photos for their high school graduation, and then a couple weeks ago we did a little session for their college graduation. I can’t believe that time has flown by so fast! Congrats girls! xoxox
